Collective Pattern Pilot in Lithuania: Weaving Stories, Strengthening Bonds

Finding Home Through Art: Empowering Migrant and Refugee Women in Lithuania

What does home mean when you have had to leave everything behind? For many migrant and refugee women, home is more than a physical place it is a feeling, a connection, and a story waiting to be told.

On January 31st, Heartwarmingly, in collaboration with Collective Pattern and the Pabėgėlių Taryba – Refugee Council of Lithuania, hosted the third get-together workshop in Lithuania under Collective Pattern’s pilot project. This gathering brought together senior Ukrainian women in a powerful exploration of belonging, creativity, and empowerment.

Art as a Medium for Healing and Expression

Through meditation, ritual art, and embroidery, women from different backgrounds came together to stitch their experiences into a collective artwork representing resilience, cultural heritage, and aspirations. The workshop fostered healing and creative expression, providing a platform where participants could share their journeys and redefine their narratives.

This initiative aligns with Heartwarmingly’s mission to foster diversity, mobility, human rights, and sustainability through meaningful social impact. By amplifying the voices of migrant and refugee women, we aim to help them reclaim their identities as creators, artists, and changemakers. As Collective Pattern beautifully expresses, “The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.”

Key Takeaways from the Workshop
